The Joseph E. Enright Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to
its mission of providing "Health Through Education". The charitable organization
was founded in 1999 by a group of physicians and administrators at the Summit Medical
Group. The Foundation was established to honor their beloved colleague, Dr. Enright,
who lost his battle with malignant melanoma in 1996 at the age of 37.
The Joseph E. Enright Foundation serves Central to Northern New Jersey by providing
health lectures and educational programs to the general public, continuing medical
education for health professionals, an online health information resource library
and educational scholarships to exceptional individuals pursuing careers in the field of healthcare.
Community
Health Education Programs
Our community lecture series and educational programs offer attendees
the opportunity to participate in discussions on health care topics
and to interact with physicians, health professionals and other community
members. The events provide participants the atmosphere to listen to other
community member experiences and to have their own questions or concerns
addressed by recognized leaders in the field. The results are often
lively discussions about health care topics and an improved understanding
for all those who attend.
Continuing Medical Education
For busy professionals trying to stay abreast of the latest in medical
developments, the Joseph E. Enright Foundation offers Continuing Medical
Education programs designed for physicians. These fully accredited lectures allow
physicians and other health professionals such as nurses, nurse practitioners
and physician assistants to enhance their knowledge base, improve practices
and to ultimately offer better patient care. These programs are funded entirely
through grants from corporations.
Compassion
Health Information Services
Helping people to become better informed
about early detection and prevention
of disease can save lives. Our online
First Defense Medical Resource Library
spells out in clear language exactly
what individuals can do to not only
detect diseases at an early stage
when it is most curable, but also
to prevent disease before it develops.
The user-friendly interface highlights
nationally accepted Preventive Medicine
Guidelines as well as appropriate
screening options for such diseases
as breast cancer, melanoma, osteoporosis
and many others.

Health Education Scholarships
The Joseph E. Enright Foundation
is pleased to offer scholarships
for education in the field of healthcare.
Scholarships are awarded twice a
year to applicants chosen by a committee
comprised of members of the Board
of Trustees as well as leaders in
the community. The scholarships are
awarded to the applicants in our
area who best demonstrate the sincerity,
compassion and academic excellence
necessary to become a truly effective
healthcare professional. |
