Joseph E. Enright,
MD
Joe Enright was born March 11, 1959 in Holy Name
hospital in Teaneck, NJ. His early school years were
spent in Catholic grammar school in Lodi, until the
family moved to Oakland,NJ when he was nine. He
continued in Catholic schools, graduating high
school at Don Bosco Prep in 1977.
He first met his wife Kathy in 1976 when he was 17
years old. Love at first sight! He then headed off
to Bucknell where he received his BS in Chemistry,
and started his masters in Biology, when he was
accepted to medical school in 1982 here in NJ. Dr.
Enright finished his residency in Internal Medicine
in 1989 through the program at Mount Sinai.
Joe was the husband of Kathy and the father of two
beautiful children. Growing up he loved golfing and
fishing with his Dad, swimming and hiking with his
Mom. To those who worked with him, he was devoted
to his patients, but always brought joy to what he
did. He was a great colleague, team player,
organizer and trusted friend.
Dr. Enright died of malignant melanoma on August 15,
1996 in his home surrounded by those who loved him,
at the age of 37.
