As a career-changer and older student, it has been somewhat of a struggle to forego a full-time salary in favor of full-time education. The money I have received through the generosity of the foundation has certainly helped to alleviate some of the financial burden.

I am thrilled to report that I finished my schooling last month and am now officially a nursing school graduate. As I move through my healthcare career I will be mindful of the motto of the foundation – community, compassion, charity. The words that guided the career of Joseph Enright will guide mine as well. I received your letter awarding me a 2008 Joseph E. Enright Scholarship and wanted to say thank you so very much for this recognition. As you know, I’m currently a nursing student at RVCC (Raritan Valley Community College) and am happily in my second year clinical at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. I really enjoy what I’m doing and the scholarship will make it much easier to complete my training.

I’ll do my best to keep my grades up, continue serving my community, giving back to my supporters, and reaching out to help others pursuing careers in healthcare.

I am a recipient of the Enright Foundation scholarship for this school year. I would like ot express my sincere thanks for endowing me with this honor and financial benefit for my schooling. I am currently enrolled in Seton Hall’s School of Graduate Medical Education as a first year Physician Assistant student, due to graduate in May 2009 with a Master’s degree.

Even with the limited exposure I have had, choosing a career in the medical field has already proven to be very rewarding. Although I have never regretted my decision to further my education beyond the bachelor’s degree I obtained from Villanova University in 2005, financing this has been difficult. I am so grateful to the Foundation for helping me along my path to an exciting and worthwhile career as a Physician Assistant.

I received a scholarship from your foundation last semester. The bill just came in for Spring 2009 and the money was applied to this semester.

I just wanted to thank you again for choosing me. The $1,000 credit on the bill will make a HUGE difference to me and my family. This is my last semester at Muhlenburg Nursing School and I hope to take the boards in the summer and start working!
